Remember, Pisco is not just a cocktail — it’s a spirit.
A smooth, elegant liquor that delights the palate and carries with it the soul of Peru. It’s our national spirit, a source of pride, tradition, and identity.
Here, we’re sharing the recipes for the two most iconic Peruvian cocktails — the same ones we crafted together during our culinary experience. We hope you enjoy them before or after a meal, in a romantic moment, or during a joyful night filled with laughter and friends.
Most of all, we hope they bring back the flavors, stories, and memories we created together at Marcelo Batata Cooking Class.
Cheers to your love for gastronomy, and for now carrying a little piece of Peruvian cuisine in your heart.

PREPARATION
Add all the ingredients in the order listed into a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously until the mixture is cold and frothy. Then strain and serve in a chilled glass.
☝️ Remember: A proper Pisco Sour is always made with a shaker — never with a blender!
Top your cocktail with 2 or 3 drops of Angostura bitters right in the center. Don’t swirl — this isn’t a cappuccino
And most importantly… smile while making it. That’s the true secret to a perfect Pisco Sour.
PREPARATION
Fill your glass to the top with ice cubes.
Add the Pisco, followed by the simple syrup and then the lime juice (or passion fruit juice, if using).
Stir well to make sure the syrup dissolves completely.
Add a dash of Angostura bitters, and finally top off with ginger ale until the glass is full.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
