Ocopa Sauce


  • 4 to 5 fresh yellow peppers, without seeds or veins, cut into pieces
  • 1 large onion, peeled and split
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 3 soda crackers
  • 200 grams of fresh cheese or cottage cheese cut into squares
  • 3 tablespoons roasted peanuts
  • Oil (amount needed)
  • ¾ cup of evaporated milk approximately
  • 1 tablespoon of huacatay paste
  • Salt


Brown the sliced onions in oil with the garlic, chili and huacatay. Then, fry until golden brown. Remove from the fire.

Put the onion, crackers, cheese, peanut and milk mixture in a blender. Blend. Season. It should be a thick cream.

Finally, add oil while blending, if necessary.

Serve it with boiled potatoes.
